Our Child Development interventions are holistic; inclusive of education, health, and psycho-social support. While children grow up at SOS Children’s Villages Botswana, we help them unearth their talents. These include music, different sports codes, and art. Their dedication and hard work always position them to participate in national and international competitions.
Our tennis stars have this year participated in the Regional Tennis Tournament in Zimbabwe, and also visited Sweden for advanced training. Another group of children took an interest in art and have been receiving art lessons from a tutor. Below is a picture of their drawings showcased in ‘The Celebration of Trees’ event in Sweden, where the world author Prof. Alexander McCall Smith was in attendance. They continue to sharpen their skills, and we are hopeful that some of them will pursue it as a career.
