A Loving Home For Every Child
Young lady of 28 years. Came to SOS Children’s Village at the age of 1 year old. Grew up at SOSChildren’s Village Tlokweng until obtained university degree. Happily married and has a 1 year old daughter.
At the end the day it is not happiness that makes us thankful but thankfulness that makes us happy! To all our treasured friends, sponsors and donors and parents, I would like to take this special moment to thank you all for helping me make it through the wilderness.
I came to SOS Children’s Village Tlokweng at a tender age of a year old. You can imagine that at that time I was not aware of my circumstances of life and today I give thanks to God for putting me in the right hands of good; loving, caring people. As I grew older I started to join the dots of why I was raised up at SOS Children’s Village and the reality hit me hard. For some time I was hurting, dealing with the issue. The support from both my SOS mother and the social worker helped me deal with the issue. My SOS family was a one strong group of people with whom we bore each other’s pains and celebrated each one of us.
Just like any other child will wish for a better life and future I also had dreams and hopes for better future ,I was granted that opportunity, I got good education, good health care, parental love, guidance and counselling from people around me even from them that I have never seen. I have completed my Bachelor of Social Science Degree(Economics and Public Administration majors) at the University of Botswana. I am a happily married and have a 1 year old daughter. Although I am not yet employed, I am also working hard at establishing my business, taking advantage of government youth finance schemes.
My Pastor always said to me ”Always remember to thank the people that have been bridges in your life, you must treasure them as friends above all other” and with that I will like to thank all who make contributions to SOS Children’s Villages Botswana, for I am what I am because of your support.
